God's wrath is coming! With the sounding of the fifth angel, much woe, harm and killing is thrust upon mankind. By the end of this ninth chapter, 1/3 of mankind will have been killed by the angels of God. But, we find that the others did not, they continued with their evil practices We read in Revelation 9:20-21, "But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear, nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality of their thefts."
So, for whatever reason that could only be of the devil, these people harden their hearts against God and they remain self-indulgent, paganistic, idol worshippers! They continue to cry out to their little dead gods of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood to save them. All the while refusing the only One and True God that could. Because of their separation from God and all that is holy, they are thieves, murderers, sexual offenders, and drug users (5331 pharmakeia far-mak-i'-ah), which is associated with witchcraft.
God's love, salvation, and righteousness leads us to repent. Not to harden our hearts to Him. Now is the time to turn to Him for the salvation that only our Lord Jesus can give you to protect you from the trials and tribulations that will befall on mankind.
