Today's reading is a bit of a challenge to me. It's difficult to look at a single verse without the context of the surrounding verses in current chapter or the next. Here John was told by God to go to the angel and get the book he held. Then the angel told him to eat it, and told him also that it will be sweet in his mouth but bitter in his stomach. John did it anyway, as a matter of obedience to God. Then the angel tells him in Revelation 10:11, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues and kings."
We know that John will do this, as he's already shown and demonstrated his obedience to God. Do John does. And we should too. Is there anything holding you back from telling others about God, so that when we get to the end times, they too will be among the righteous that are protected by the Lord? There shouldn't be.
Blessings to all
