Today we read that the seventh trumpet sounds and the elders in heaven worshiped the Lord and said in Revelation 11:17, "We give thanks, O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned."
They gave thanks to God for His power and His rightful place in the universe as the one who has the power and glory. We must give thanks to Him as well, knowing that He is God, and He is the God of the universe. Unfortunately, there is another power today that wants this for himself, but we know that through Christ we too have the power to overcome him.
Glory to God in the highest.
