John sees a new heaven and earth in today's reading as well as the glory and adornment of the New Jerusalem. The best part is what is promised for us having been found in the book of life. We read in Revelation 21:4, "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
How glorious that will be!! Do you wonder if at that point in the development of humans, that we'll have any memory of our "former things"? Do you think we'll remember the time when there was tears, pain, death and sorrow? I'm believing that there won't since memories such as those can bring pain and sorrow. To know only God and the glory that we'll be able to worship Him in while inhabiting the New Jerusalem will be the only thing on our mind.
God's glory will be all we need at that point, and drinking from the fountain of life whenever we are thirsty.
Glory to God! We love you and wait anxiously for your completion of our making.
Blessings to all
