Today as we finish Revelation, we reflect on the last year and the message of the New Testament. The message is this, the invitation to salvation is made by Jesus Christ, and all who accept His invitation will be saved. This is the same message we read in Revelation 22:17 which says, "And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let him who hears say 'Come!' And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely."
Jesus came to earth not to condemn and reigns over His kingdom the same way; not to condemn but to save. His primary purpose is to offer life to dying people, inviting them to experience forgiveness, healing, and hope. This is a powerful invitation because the same Jesus who makes it wields the power to withdraw it from those who refuse His call and continue to live in rebellion. Just as He has authority to welcome us into eternal life, so He has the authority to not welcome us. Yet in His grace He chooses to offer life to sinful people.
Hear God's gracious offer: Jesus wants to forgive your sines and welcome you to a new life. If you haven't yet done so, accept His invitation right now to come into your life and be your Lord and Savior.
A glorious year spent in the Word of God; continuing to strengthen my relationship with Him. Thank you God for your love and attention to me. I am very blessed to be one of your children.
Blessings to all
