Reflections from August 3, 2010

Paul tells of issues being a minister of Christ in chapter 4 of 1 Corinthians, and he reminds us in verse 20 that our work is not by the power of our voice or our words when he says, "For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power."

It is only through the power of God and the Holy Spirit that any ministry work is accomplished. God simply uses us and uses our voice and gives us the words to say to others. He gives the right words at the right time that become meaningful to the person hearing them. Consider what Moses did; he was a person that did not have an ability to speak well, but God used him in miraculous ways and gave him the exact words to speak when needed. Do you think God has changed? No! God still gives his people the ability to speak His words to us.

Remember to thank God when you minister to others that He has provided you with the ability to speak to them, and to use His power through you for this glorious purpose.

Blessings to all
