What is your building for God like? Is it holy, reverent, clean? Paul wants to know and he tells us what God wants in 1 Corinthians 3:16, "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? In anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."
Again, Paul is clear, direct and succinct. There's no mincing of words. God dwells in you which means we are holy. We are to ensure that we His temple clean, and worthy of him. In today's world, that means we don't do things like smoke, drink excessively, use drugs and partake in gluttony. It also means we don't fill our minds or hearts with defiled things such as pornography, violence, and such. It means we keep our house pure and don't let trash in through the TV. We fill our minds and bodies with things that are Holy, clean and acceptable to God.
Just like you want a clean house, God wants a clean temple to reside in. As you Dad used to say, "Go clean your room!"
Blessings to all
