Luke speaks to us today in Acts 13:38-39, "Therefore, let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses."
Luke wrote these words of Paul when he was speaking to Jews in a synogogue letting them know the law of man was not going to save them. It's true today as well, we can't just rely on man's word, or our ways, to save us. We must turn to Jesus and accept Him as our saviour and rely on His work in order to have forgiveness.
Wisdom is emphasized over and over in Proverbs and today we turn to Proverbs 7:4, "Say to wisdom, 'You are my sister', And call understanding your nearest kin,"
Just think if we all heeded this advice, how great a place our world would be!. Everyone making wise decisions because they valued the importance of wisdom in their life. David is telling us to make wisdom a valued part of our life, just as we value our family members and want them close to us.
Proverbs 8:17 gives us the response of wisdom, "I love those who love me, And those who seek me dilegently will find me."
Well, if you believe wisdom is your sister, you've definitely found her! David tells us that having a love for wisdom in your life will ensure you use it, live it and apply it as well. This will keep you out of trouble better than anything else you could do.
Blessings to all.
