Today we read in Galatians 3:14, "that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
Paul's point to the Jews is the same as for us; that is we can only receive our redemption through our faith in Jesus, not on our obedience to the law, or by acts we perform, or by anything else. And, it's for everyone, not just a select few. Today, the Jews are still God's people as He has not broken His covenant with them; however, the blessings of God are available to all that believe that Jesus is their Savior.
From Proverbs 23:15-16 we read, "My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice-indeed, I myself; Yes, my inmost being will rejoice When you lips speak right things."
Solomon is promoting wisdom in chapter 23, and in these verses he encourages us to keep a wise heart knowing that brings joy in everyone's life. Making good decisions keeps unity and peace, and these bring happiness into your life. When you make poor decisions, you worry over what you did, what will happen, and how you'll be affected, and all that worry takes the place of happiness. So, wisdom brings happiness. Exercise wisdom and you'll find happiness!
Blessings to all
