Today in Hebrews 7:25 we read, "Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."
There's actually a lot of message packed into this small verse! Jesus can always save us! All we have to do is go to God through our Lord. How easy is that!?! Go through Jesus, live in eternity.
He always lives! More proof that Jesus was resurrected (as if we need any) and that He's active and working on our behalf.
He makes intercession for us! We have somebody that's in our corner, that loves us (enough to die for us) and He goes to the Most High, the Ruler of the Universe, and intercedes on our behalf. He makes a personal pitch to God for us. What more reason do we need in order to have a close, loving relationship with our Lord? Look at what He's done for us, and God asks for so little in return. Just love Him, keep His commandments, and help others get to know Him as well.
From Proverbs 10:9 we read, "He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known."
By living a life of integrity, we will live without fear. When we get by through cheating, lying and other forms of perversion, we live in fear of being caught. You always want to do something to cover up your lie, and that leads to more lies, more cheating, more dishonesty. A life of integrity eliminates all of that and creates a calming effect, one that comes from the security of living a righteous life based on the principles of God through His word, the Bible.
